Head of Plant Utilities m/f/d

We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated individual to lead our Plant Utility department. As the Head of Plant Utility, you will be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary project team engaged in high-tech facility projects. Working alongside engineers and designers, you will oversee the production of construction documents for various systems, including HVAC wet, plumbing, controls, and more.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Establishing and developing the Plant Utility department within Exyte Central Europe.
  • Collaborating with your team to develop concepts and deliverables in line with contractual requirements, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. This includes preparing specifications, data sheets, drawings, functional descriptions, and material take-offs (MTO).
  • Creating a department strategy that aligns with project scopes and identifies the required skillset of employees.
  • Developing a staffing plan and collaborating with the HR department to recruit the necessary resources.
  • Performing engineering tasks related to the design of utilities and HVAC wet systems for high-tech facilities, such as cleanrooms, general manufacturing/process facilities, and institutional facilities.

Show your expertise

  • Successful completion of studies in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical education.
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in engineering, construction, or commissioning of Building Service Systems. Experience in consulting engineering, preferably in the semiconductor industry, is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to build consensus, resolve conflicts, and support the growth and development of team members.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken German and English.
  • Willingness to travel to various sites within Central Europe.
