We are looking for a proactive and dynamic individual to join our team as a Solution Architect (Databases & Middleware) . As a Solution Architect (Databases & Middleware), you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative database and middleware solutions that support our business objectives. 
 

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance for database and middleware projects, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and best practices
• Evaluate and recommend database and middleware technologies to meet evolving business needs.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive database and middleware architectures, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
• Create detailed design documents, including data models, system diagrams, and configuration specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot technical issues related to database and middleware systems.
• Provide timely solutions and recommendations to address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other challenges.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest database and middleware technologies and trends. Evaluate new technologies and tools to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
• Collaborate effectively with other IT teams and cross-functional teams, including solutions architects (i.e. Applications and Infrastructure teams), Enterprise Architects, IT Security teams, platform owners / service managers, developers / testers, and operations staff, to ensure successful project delivery.
   

Show your expertise

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in database, middleware architecture and design
• Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
• Good knowledge of middleware technologies (e.g., web servers such as IIS, Apache Tomcat, message queues, application servers, API gateways, Content Delivery Network).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence tools are plus 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders 
• Proficiency in English, German language skills preferred
