In this key position as an Expert Business Acquisition Opportunity & Risk Management (m/f/d), you will work closely with our project teams to provide key information and decision-making. As a business risk and opportunity expert, you will be an indispensable advisor and driver, directly influencing our business. This varied role requires a comprehensive understanding of the EPC project business and the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels. The position is based in Stuttgart, Germany and you will be part of an international team of experts that prepares decision papers, makes recommendations and prepares project-specific risk analyses and evaluations for global bids and projects as part of project-related risk and opportunity management.If you would like to actively shape the future of our company, we look forward to receiving your application.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate opportunity-risk analyses according to internal guidelines in cooperation with business partners from different regions, focusing on independent risk analyses along all relevant risk categories.
  • Ensure thorough review and agreement of analysis results, recommendations and approval conditions, supported by appropriate documentation, in consultation with line manager.
  • Individually review project performance and risk indicators.
  • Conduct independent risk reviews, prepare risk assessments and support risk mitigation activities in close collaboration with business teams.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of database structures and standard risk assessment checklists.
  • Assist with departmental reporting as required.

Show your expertise

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in an EPC environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the engineering and construction industry, including technical aspects, legal requirements, schedules, commercial aspects and environmental and occupational health and safety standards.
  • Strong analytical approach coupled with good communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, German is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint), knowledge of scheduling and PM software is an advantage.
  • Independent, proactive, team player with the ability to diplomatically challenge the status quo.
