Electrical Engineer - Life Safety Systems (m/w/d)

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Design and construction planning for life safety and communication systems (systems for fire and gas detection, public safety radio (BOS), safety lighting, access control, intrusion detection, video monitoring, passive and active network, loudspeaker, etc.)

  • Engineering and construction preparation for building management systems (HVAC systems, lighting, shading, etc.) by translation from PID-schematics into functional descriptions, preparation of material take offs and electrical schematics

  • System and component selection with definition in technical specifications and data sheets

  • Adherence to budget, quality and schedule requirements within the different projects

  • Work closely within the project team, with other disciplines as well as with engineering companies

  • Compliance with safety, healthy, environment and certification requirements

  • Coordination and control of the interfaces with other disciplines and individual trades

  • Knowledge of the latest technical regulations, codes of practice and compliance with customer specifications

Show your expertise

  • Knowledge in design and construction planning for safety and communication systems (Fire and Gas detection/alarm systems, Safety lighting, Access control and interlocking, intrusion detection systems, video monitoring systems, passive network systems, call systems, etc.)

  • Experience in detail design and construction planning for building automation systems (HVAC, Lighting, Shading, etc.) with translation from PID schematics into functional description, Material Take off and electrical schematics

  • Design of systems and components including installation depending on different project phases (Concept, Basic und Detail Design)

  • Completed university studies in the field of engineering (Bachelor or Master),

  • >5 + years of professional experience in design of life safety, network and building automation and management systems

  • Experience in design of industrial facility monitoring and control systems preferred

  • Confident handling of common computer programs and MS Office applications

  • Ability to work in a team, initiative and commitment as well as a high degree of flexibility

  • Good English and German language skills, written and spoken

  • Willingness to travel and work at construction site
