Lead Engineer QA/QC (Electrical)

The Lead Engineer QA/QC (Electrical) will be responsible for conducting inspections to ensure that work on a site complies with project design documents, industry standards, and local, state, and federal building codes. This role will either conduct the work independently or by working with other QAQC team members.
This position requires knowledge of high-tech facility construction, particularly in semiconductor or biopharma environments, to ensure safety standards are maintained throughout the project
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Review Subcontractor Work: Lead thorough inspections of subcontractor work to ensure compliance with project design documents and regulatory codes.
- Collaborate with Client: Own the communication regarding performed by subcontractor, vendors and client team meets expectations of the client and all and federal, state and local regulations.
- Code Compliance & Safety: Responsible for validation of final installations to ensure they do not violate code requirements, including equipment clearances, emergency egress paths, and other safety aspects.
- Safety Oversight: Enforce the Company Safety Policy on-site and pay due diligence to safety aspects at all times, ensuring compliance with site-specific safety protocols.
- Non-Conformance Management: Responsible for identification and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where work does not meet design or specification requirements. Follow up to ensure NCRs are addressed and closed out.
- Documentation & Reporting: Responsible for clear and concise documentation of inspections, audits, and NCRs. Ensure that reports are completed and submitted on time.

Minimum Required
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Electrical / Electrician License
- 12+ years of experience in high-tech facility construction, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and control.
- Must have in-depth knowledge in own area and general knowledge of related areas
- Proficient in reading and interpreting design documents, building codes, and project specifications.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or Journeyman Certificate.
- Experience in Semiconductor or Biopharma Life Sciences facility construction strongly preferred.
- Often leads the work of small project teams or have accountability for ongoing processes or objectives.
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external to improve process.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor or biopharma facility construction methods and quality control.
- Experience with performing and documenting field inspections, ensuring all work meets quality and regulatory requirements.
- Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, BIM360, and other construction management software.
- Typically resolves complex problems
- Works mainly independently.
