As a team lead of a Biopharmaceutical Life Sciences (BLS) process group in Gdansk you are responsible for the growth and the development of the team inside the organization as well as for the development of every member of the team. You supervise the daily technical work of your team and support them with your technical expertise. You are familiar with the new tendencies on the market and play an active role in the development of the polish branch of Exyte.

With your knowledge about suppliers and your expertise with potential clients you actively support Business Development. In cooperation with your peers from other disciplines of Engineering and Design as well as with other BLS process groups worldwide, you are responsible for high quality standards in our multinational BLS projects.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Leading a team of process engineers in all technical and administrative matters
  • Identifying the needs for development of technical, personal or commercial competence of direct reports
  • Enhance communication between the Polish Team and the COE (Continental Europe) leadership team
  • Conducting all phases of a design of a biopharmaceutical/chemical facility:
  • Feasibility/concept studies: GMP compliant facility design and layout, optimization of production capacities, process simulation, time scheduling, logistics, cost estimation
  • Basic and Detail Design: Equipment specification, P&ID drafting, functional specification, 3D reviews, HAZOP studies
  • Auditing of existing facilities
  • Revamp of existing facilities
  • Interfaces to Clean Utilities, Automation, Architecture, Plant Design
  • Development and integration of internal technical standard documents
  • Implementing Safety in Design and finding sustainable technical solutions
  • Leading small projects
  • Participation in BD activities

Show your expertise

  • M.Sc. Degree in field of Life Sciences (Chemical and Process Engineering, Biotechnology, Industrial Pharmacy etc.)
  • Several years of experience in planning and execution of projects in the pharmaceutical industry
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotech chemical plant planning
  • Experience or deep interest in leading a very engaged team 
  • Advanced knowledge of current standards and common regulations in the pharmaceutical sector (cGMP etc.)
  • Presentation skills
  • Fluently written and spoken English
  • Willingness to travel to project related assignments within Germany and Europe
