Principal function of the EHS Manager is to advise the Construction team on health and safety matters, to monitor the health and safety performance of the Project and its appointed sub-contractors. The Project EHS Manager will ensure that Exyte EHS Department provide a range of services including inspections, audits, training, accident investigation, and environmental monitoring.  The EHS Manager will work closely with the Client and sub contractor’s EHS supervisors and will liaise with external enforcement agencies where necessary.  This role requires travel to and from sites across Europe and can be contracted through UK & Ireland

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Implement EHS management system and its compliance.
  • Exercise general supervision of the observance of the provisions of the Safe Practices and any relative local regulations.
  • Advise management on matters pertaining to EHS.
  • Organize EHS programs and activities to promote safe conduct of workers.
  • Report and liaise with the management, relevant authorities on accident occurrence.
  • Conduct daily inspection and act on unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Train and monitor workers safe work practices.
  • Maintain and monitor EHS records and checklists.
  • Ensure that the Project EHS Induction is delivered.
  • Ensure that the latest revision of Exyte EHS documents is in use.
  • Set an example for all supervisors, employee’s & contractors to follow

Show your expertise

  • Engineering Degree & Master’s Degree with 10+ years’ experience in Environmental Health and Safety on Major Construction projects and Operational / Manufacturing sites in the Semi-Conductor and Pharmaceutical Industry’s. 
  • Key experience on Impact Prevention Management Systems, Safety Management Systems, Design Safety Risk assessment and Environmental Programs and Team / Group Leadership.
