The Senior Manager Construction Management is responsible for the career and skills development of the
Company’s construction management professionals; identification, development, and continuous improvement of
industry best processes and procedures; and productivity and knowledge management through standardized
construction management systems and software. The Senior Manager reports directly to the Director of
Construction Management (DCM)

- Supports in the development and maintains region-wide construction management performance expectations to include mandatory safety performance.
- Provides career development and support for the construction management community of practice
- Provides mentoring, coaching and support to the construction management community of practice
- Supports in the development and delivers construction management training in both technical and soft skills
- Identifies and implements industry best practice construction delivery means & methods
- Develops, maintains and continuously improves cost-effective, scalable, fit-for purpose construction management processes and procedures
- Partners with estimating and project controls functions throughout entire project lifecycle to align those functions to deliver required projects results
- Monitors compliance of construction teams to construction management processes and procedures
- Identifies, implements and continuously improves construction management software and systems
- Assist the DCM in Supporting Regional Business Unit performance management of construction management professionals
- Provides construction execution troubleshooting and recovery support to the ongoing projects.
- Supports the Development of and delivers and encourages an internal construction management career path program
- Assists the DCM to assure a consistent pipeline of construction management professionals to support business development and construction execution needs of the Regional Business Units while maintaining utilization goals

Show your expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management,
- Engineering or related field preferred
- OSHA 10 required / OSHA 30 preferred
- 15+ years of experience as a Construction Director · 15+ years of experience in either a senior leadership role or leading a large construction organization
- Prior experience as a successful Construction Director
- Prior experience in a senior leadership role or leading a large construction organization
- Experience in developing and delivering construction management focused training
- Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement of construction management systems
- Experience with multiple construction delivery methods (engineering, design/build, EPC, EPCM, CM)
- Experience managing, coaching and mentoring people
- Experience delivering results in a matrix organization
- Experience in either a senior leadership role in construction or design management
- Strong self-starter and self-directed characteristics
- Ability to properly identify, assess and resolve problems and/or issues
- Exhibits a high sense of personal motivation and urgency
- History of developing and sharing best practices
- Experienced in developing and maintaining close relationships
- Absolute commitment to ethical business standards
- Ability to demonstrate collaborative working relationships with peers and foster the same with direct reports
