  • The Construction Manager is responsible for the execution of the construction phase of a project. Responsible for ensuring site safety is maintained according to the safety plan, maintaining the daily progress goals, ensuring installation quality is monitored during the entire construction period, and communicating to Project Managers. The Construction Manager must be ready to take on unique challenges daily, with the responsibility of keeping a project on schedule and on budget. Acts as the Company’s representative when dealing with vendors, subcontractors, local authorities, and other stakeholders.

  • Champions Safety, Quality, Regulatory Compliance and The Collaborative Way
  • Responsible for communicating and upholding safety culture and safety policies and procedures throughout the project
  • Assists Pre-construction with estimating and pre-construction services and other duties as assigned by the Procurement and Construction Directors
  • Works with Procurement in scope of work development and the solicitation and pre-qualification of Subcontractors and Suppliers. Responsible for all technical evaluations of bid proposals and overall scope ownership
  • Prepares and manages construction schedule and daily planning of work
  • Be intimately familiar with Subcontractor scope of work, Subcontract agreements, and design drawings,  for the ownership of construction execution on time and within budget
  • Responsible for subcontract pay applications reviews and approvals
  • Coordinates with Quality Control and Document Control to ensure the timely review and processing of, shop drawings and required submittals in a timely manner
  • Coordinates submittals and RFI’s with Field Engineer or responsible design professionals
  • Coordinates, communicates, and documents changes in scope of work. Responsible for capturing and communicating any schedule, quality, or cost associated with changes
  • Coordinates with the Superintendents and Quality Control all required testing and documentation is planned and completed correctly
  • Ensures Quality is upheld daily, and punch lists are generated and completed in a timely manner
  • Develops and maintains continuous positive relationships with the Client and their representatives
  • Monitors the training of all Construction staff 
  • Promotes positive staff morale, professionalism, and attitude, and assists to resolve potential deficiencies when identified or perceived
  • Participates in continuous improvement plans as directed and/or through proactive application of personal expertise
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge and understanding of the company’s project processes, procedures, and policies and is responsible for enforcing the use and conformance thereof
  • Ensures that Project Controls are maintaining the Contract Documents. Ensures they are at all times up to date, with all revised drawings, addenda, and Change Orders
  • Ensures all project closeout documentation, including project as-builts are continuously maintained 
  • Assists in preparation of all project status reports

Show your expertise

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
  • OSHA 10 required / OSHA 30 preferred    
  • 10+ years as a Project Manager or 15+ years of construction operations experience
  • Management experience within the construction industry
  • Semiconductor or large industrial experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Adobe Writer, BIM software navigation, Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Vision
