The Senior Commissioning Technician is responsible for verifying systems and/or rooms are operationally safe and compliant with design intent, building codes, and site safety requirements.

- Reviews and checks construction and vendor drawings for verifications
- High quality and high accuracy of verification and documentation of installation.
- Verifies closeout of punch list items in accordance with design requirements
- Verifies redlines are accurate and matches final installed condition that have been provided
- Understands and experience in start-up sequences and safety checklists prior to start-up.
- Reviews contractor testing procedures, reports, and testing activities for all project disciplines to all code and regulative testing and verification requirements
- Prepares and executes startup checks, including responsibility for verifying that the startup documents have been fully executed and signed off
- Coordinates pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities leading to project completion
- Troubleshoot controls during OAT
- Recommends acceptable workarounds where systems are not 100% complete but need to be started in an early run scenario.
- Ensures compliance and progress reports are produced in accordance with project requirements

Show your expertise
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Licensed Journeyman preferred
- 5 years + Key trades: mechanical, process mechanical, instrumentation and controls, electrical
- Commissioning experience directly related to semiconductor or biopharmaceutical facilities.
- Excellent knowledge of OSHA guidelines surrounding safe construction practices
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft office software
- Knowledge of a commissioning software (EXTO, EIDA, Latista, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: must be able to work closely with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors
- Competent knowledge of the processes to energize a system and validate that all the controls and instrumentation function as designed
- Knowledge and understanding of P&ID’s and one-line diagrams
- Knowledge and understanding of project specifications and building codes
- Ability to coach and lead others with a goal of timely completion and team development
- Knowledge and understanding of building and process systems and interrelation thereof
- Knowledge and experience with LOTO procedures
- Ability to work proactively as a member of a team under tight deadlines
