The Expert, Quality Management will be responsible for ensuring that all subcontractor work on site complies with project design documents, industry standards, and local, state, and federal building codes. This position requires extensive knowledge of high-tech facility construction, particularly in semiconductor or biopharma environments, to ensure the highest quality and safety standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.

- Audit Subcontractor Work: Conduct thorough inspections of subcontractor work to ensure compliance with project design documents and regulatory codes.
- Code Compliance & Safety: Validate final installations do not violate code requirements, including equipment clearances, emergency egress paths, and other safety aspects.
- Safety Oversight: Enforce the Company Safety Policy on-site and pay due diligence to safety aspects at all times, ensuring compliance with site-specific safety protocols.
- Meetings & Collaboration: Attend kick-off and clarification meetings with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure alignment on project requirements and expectations.
- Subcontractor Audits: Perform audits of Subcontractor fabrication shops and cut shops, both off-site and on-site, to ensure quality standards are met.
- Non-Conformance Management: Identify and issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where work does not meet design or specification requirements. Follow up to ensure NCRs are addressed and closed out.
- Quality Meetings: Attend and actively participate in Quality Meetings with the project Owner, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to discuss quality control issues and solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide coaching and guidance to subcontractors regarding best practices, industry standards, and specific project requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain clear and concise documentation of inspections, audits, and NCRs. Ensure that all reports are completed and submitted on time.
- Mechanical & Functional Checks: Perform functional checks and mechanical completion checks for pressure and atmospheric vessels to ensure they meet the required specifications.
- Trays Inspection: Conduct dimensional checks and water-tightness tests for trays to ensure they conform to design requirements.
- Hydrostatic Testing & Pad Settlement Measurement: Carry out hydrostatic testing of tanks and measure pad settlement to verify structural integrity and compliance with design specifications.
- Equipment Installation & Alignment: Monitor and control equipment installation processes, ensuring proper alignment and leveling according to project requirements.
- Witness Tests and Inspections: Witness and control all tests, inspections, and quality control activities, ensuring they are executed correctly and that all items meet acceptance criteria for quality control completion.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management to ensure the successful completion of the project.

Minimum Required
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 10+ years of experience in high-tech facility construction, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance and control.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting design documents, building codes, and project specifications.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or Journeyman Certificate.
- Experience in Semiconductor or Biopharma Life Sciences facility construction strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor or biopharma facility construction methods and quality control standards.
- Experience with performing and documenting field inspections, ensuring all work meets quality and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
- Exceptional conflict resolution and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, BIM360, and other construction management software.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach subcontractors on best practices and industry standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
