The purpose of the Contract Manager role is to ensure effective, compliant management of all contractual obligations during the whole life cycle of the contracts, mitigating risks and facilitating smooth project execution. This applies to all sorts of contracts, with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

Monitor compliance with contractual obligations and terms, track and evaluate the performance of contractors and subcontractors against contractual obligations.

Identify and mitigate potential risks related to contracts, act as the primary point of contact for contractual matters and resolve any disputes or issues that arise.

Ensure that all contractual documentation is in accordance with relevant regulations and standards, maintain comprehensive records of all contract-related documents, and ensure documentation is stored and accessible for future reference.

Collaborate with project team and other stakeholders to align contract requirements with project goals and provide timely and accurate communication of contractual changes to relevant parties.

Coordinate with legal, finance, and commercial/procurement departments to facilitate smooth contract execution and ensure that all contracts adhere to financial constraints.

Manage contract variations and amendments to accommodate changes in project scope or conditions, prepare regular reports on contract status, performance, and compliance.

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, facilitate clear and effective communication between all parties involved in the project.

Support change order preparation by ensure that all changes supported by the contract term and provide guidance on legal and regulatory compliance to project teams.

Show your expertise

• University degree or completed apprenticeship with focus on business administration or project management (or a comparable field of study)

• 5+ years of experience in a similar function

• Knowledge of contract law (Fidic, VOB) is a mandatory

• Fluent English AND French

• Very good knowledge of MS Office and ideally SAP S4 / HANA

• Motivation and independent working style to push topics independently and persistently and to achieve high quality results

• Excellent team spirit and communication skills as well as ability to work under pressure
