The Structural Engineer is involved in the preliminary project phase of a construction, based on the architect's plans and before the cost estimation of the site. The CSA engineer must consider various factors (such as the dimensions of the structure, the quantity and type of materials used, soil type, climatic conditions, and seismic risk zones) to define the size of different components that make up the structure of the building to be constructed.

  • Design and Calculation:
    • Light steel structures to support clean rooms.
    • Platforms for service equipment.
    • Steel connections.
    • Assess the impact of our installations on existing structures.
    • Modify existing structures if necessary.
    • Evaluate the main structure of an existing building if required to install clean rooms.
  • Documentation and Review:
    • Produce calculation notes and specifications, and review calculation notes and specifications produced by others (colleagues, design offices, etc.).
    • Guide 3D draftsmen in the creation of their technical drawings, assist colleagues with requests within the Structures/CSA team or in other disciplines.
    • Manage the interface with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, respond to client requests on project sites.
    • Ensure that studies, drawings, and specifications are completed within the given deadlines.
    • Assist the estimation team in responding to bids.
    • Travel as needed for On-site inspections and measurements, Inspecting work performed by subcontractors, attending construction site meetings, client meetings, etc.
  • Compliance:
    • Strictly adhere to Group standards for project management and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment).

Show your expertise

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 to 7 years in a similar position within a high-tech or industrial design environment.
  • Required Degree: Engineering degree from a polytechnic school with a specialization in building construction or equivalent, or a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering specialized in architecture, construction, or building engineering.
  • Minimum Requirement: At least 4 years of experience in the design of steel structures.
  • Strong foundation in geometry and mathematics is essential, with knowledge of architecture and proficiency in computer tools (Office Suite).
  • Good knowledge of analysis software such as STAAD.Pro or Robot.
  • Advanced user of NAVISWORKS.
  • Regular user of Eurocodes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
    • English : Minimum B2 level (written, spoken and read)
    • Ability to work independently within a team, and good communicator within the team.
    • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of both detailed analysis and a broader perspective of a situation.
  • Non UE applicants must be Fluent in French and have a valid Schengen work permit.
