BIM Designer M/F

Under the supervision of a Project Manager or Discipline Leader and within the Engineering team, the BIM Designer (M/F) is responsible for designing dimensional studies, plans, and schematics based on a client's specifications. He participates in the search for suitable technical solutions and, if necessary, visit the client to carry out surveys and measurements.
For each Business Unit, the BIM Designer provides and verifies the designs of piping/ducting/electrical/cabling installations and other complex installations in compliance with project specifications, standards, codes, procedures, and other design parameters.
The position may require occasional travel within the national territory.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Conceptualize plans, details, and sections to accurately follow construction or manufacturing requirements.
- Prepare and develop 3D CAD or BIM drawings under the supervision of a project manager and/or discipline leader.
- Verify computerized models of piping, ducts, cables, etc.
- Ensure compliance with approved design standards and guarantee the quality of the design.
- Coordinate drawings and information provided by subcontractors or suppliers and integrate them into the project drawings.
- Extract computerized models of pipes, ducts, equipment, and isometric drawings.
- Create isometric drawings and layouts of pipes, ducts, equipment, and detailed drawings as needed, review project parameters related to piping, ducts, cables, equipment as necessary, and prepare preliminary bills of materials.
- Draw and update material stress diagrams.
- Attend design reviews as needed.
- Manage necessary field surveys, create site sketches, take equipment measurements, and update CAD drawings based on collected information.
- Integrate risk reduction and/or elimination associated with unavoidable hazards from the design stage.
- Collaborate with project managers, design managers, discipline heads, engineers, other designers, subcontractors, and contractors to ensure information, risk management, and control.

Essential:
- Minimum of a Bac +3 diploma or equivalent experience in mechanical, thermal, electrical engineering, or fluid mechanics.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing piping, ducts, cables, or other equipment in the Industrial Building Engineering sector (semiconductors, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, etc.).
- Proficient and regular user of AutoCAD 3D and Revit.
- English reading, speaking, and writing skills (minimum intermediate level B2).
- Fluent French is mandatory (client's language)
- Familiar with piping specifications, industry standards and codes, diagrams, P&ID, and interpretation of technical information provided by suppliers.
Desired:

- Experience in a multicultural environment.
- Non UE candidates must be in possession of a pluriannual work permit, if possible valid for Schengen countries ( trips to other European countries could be required).
